Dental Insurance Coordinator

Galsterer Endodontics

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, managing claims and pre-authorizations, and serving as a key point of contact for patients regarding their insurance benefits. Your expertise will help ensure accurate billing and a seamless financial experience for our patients.

Schedule: Full Time Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
• Submit insurance claims and pre-authorizations in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve denials or discrepancies
• Educate patients on their insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and financial responsibilities
• Coordinate with the billing team to ensure proper coding and documentation
• Maintain accurate patient insurance records within the practice management system
• Respond to patient and insurance inquiries regarding claims and coverage
• Collaborate with front office and clinical teams to ensure a smooth patient experience
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines
• Assist with billing-related tasks and support front desk duties as needed
• Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience working with dental or medical insurance

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with insurance terminology, claims processes, and EOBs
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in dental practice management software
• Comfortable with multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of dental codes and common insurance plans
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations

The salary range for this role is $18 - $20 per hour.
